Today happened to visit Shenzhen sea world and sharing my experience about this you all. This is truly an international place where a lot of foreigners hangout and you truly feel like you are out of China. With a colourful musical fountain show, dining, coffee shops and resting area together, which makes a unique spot in Shenzhen. Especially there are many international restaurants in this entertainment complex. The musical fountain show will be at 7.00 PM / 8.00 PM and an additional show during weekends. Each show only lasts for 10 min and recommended not to miss this.
When you hear about sea world, you may think of dolphins, sea lions performance or a water theme park. But this sea world is not exactly any aquatic life performance but exhibiting China luxury liner Minghua ship which now is operated as Cruise hotel. Overall it is an interesting experience to know about the Minghua ship and the atmosphere is very nice and peaceful. A very good place for a weekend escape and relaxing.

Minghua ship was originally a luxury liner built by French named Ancerville and launched on April 5, 1962, for
services from Marseilles to Dakar. In 1970, Ancerville rescued all passengers and crew of the burning and sinking line Fulvia in the Canary Islands. The Ship was sold to China in 1973 and was renamed as Minghua which is meaning ” Spirit of China”. Minghua operated from China to East Africa during her last decade of service. In 1983, the ship arrived in Shekou, Shenzhen and refitted as a tourist attraction and as a part of Sea World. Minghua has 253 hotel rooms, Chinese & Western restaurants, an English Bar, Bamboo Grove Bar, Music Dance Hall, swimming pool, health centre, children’s recreation centre and the China Folk Customs Exhibition Center. In 2010, with an investment of 60 billion Yuan, the main part of New Shekou project – Seaworld Urban Complex started its renovation. This December 20th, part of the renovation project will be formally unveiled at the Minghua ship.
