I caught up with Ajith Kumar ALÂ recently
Intrigued by his Ather smart scooter.
Here’s what he shared and what I felt.
After 15000km,
His first feedback felt very genuine.
“Still happy after two years.”
I tried Eco, Ride and Warp. ⚡
Warp mode instantly changed my mood.
Throttle response felt sharp yet controlled.
Reverse mode felt surprisingly refined.
The touchscreen felt very refined.
UI transitions felt smooth and responsive.
Every switch felt thoughtfully placed.
OTA updates impressed me even more.
No unnecessary service center visits.
Top speed touched around 90 kmph.
He gets nearly 85 km range.
That too with two riders onboard.
Recently, I noticed something
Similar in my tier-2 hometown.
A dedicated Ather service center.
That really makes a difference.
What impressed me most was Ather’s approach.
Patience during product development matters.
Validation before launch always matters more.
Good products reveal themselves in small transitions.
Many EVs feel feature-loaded.
Few feel properly validated.
After-sales planning matters equally too.
Especially in lower-tier Indian cities. 👏
Because of these reasons, it is no surprise.
Ather is steadily climbing India’s EV sales charts.
Execution matters more than flashy launches.
✨ Are EV buyers now valuing reliability
Over-aggressive launches?
✨ Can strong after-sales support become
The biggest EV differentiator?
