I thought the EV race was about replacing ICE.The smartest brands are learning to protect both. Each EV strategy teaches something valuable.

I recently posted about Ferrari and Porsche EV strategies.

Both protected their brand differently.

I just came across Siddhartha Lal's strategy for Royal Enfield.

Having led motor development for Flying Flea,

I was naturally curious about the strategy behind it

Ferrari electrifies performance.

Porsche preserves driving character.

Royal Enfield balances both worlds.

Customers don't buy only horsepower.

They buy emotion, sound, riding feel, and community.

Those are engineering requirements too.

From what I have seen,

ICE builds today's business.

EV builds tomorrow's business.

Both need engineering investments.

Both need customer trust. 🏍️⚡

I believe this balanced strategy respects

Legacy while enabling innovation.

What is harder to electrify:

The powertrain or the emotional connection riders have with a brand?

⚡ Looking forward to your thoughts.
