Today’s drone expo surprised me.
Now I am confident that India’s drone stack is evolving faster than expected.
I saw strong system-level integration thinking.
Motors, ESCs, and flight controllers aligned well.
Lightweight composites improved thrust efficiency significantly.
Battery systems focused on energy density gains.
Supply chain depth is clearly improving.
Use cases are expanding across sectors.
Agriculture spraying is becoming data-driven.
Defence drones show autonomous mission capabilities.
Firefighting drones reduce human exposure risks.
Drones now act as force multipliers. 🚁
They improve productivity and response times.
Recent Operation Sindoor showed real tactical value.
While speaking with exhibitors, one challenge stood out.
Rare earth material imports impact defence applications.
This directly connects with my motor work and I am concerned about this more.
Endurance still constrained by battery limits (~20–40 mins typical)
For other segments, growth outlook remains strong.
India must build core technologies locally.
🔋Battery tech, motors, controllers, and flight dynamics
,🧲 More importantly India must be self sustainable in the rare earths instead depending on importing.
