Torque density or power density?

I often hear this debate in motor design.
Which matters more for an EV motor?
Here’s what I find interesting.
High torque density alone isn't enough.
High power density alone isn't enough.
For EV motors, both matter.
The real challenge is achieving both.
Torque density impacts
Acceleration and hill climbing.
Power density affects
high-speed performance
and packaging.
But neither tells the complete story.
I believe the real winner delivers both.
With high efficiency, thermal stability, and reliability.
What would you prioritise in EV motor design?
