As a die-hard EV fan,I never thought I'd agree withPorsche saying "no" to an electric 911.

My last post covered Ferrari’s first EV Luce.
Interesting, considering Enzo Ferrari once said:
“When you buy a Ferrari, you buy an engine.”
Yet Ferrari entered the EV era.
Porsche is taking a different path.
CEO Michael Leiters made it clear.
The 911 stays combustion and hybrid.
Why?
Its rear-mounted flat-six defines it.
An EV can match performance.
But can it preserve architecture?
That’s the real engineering debate. ⚙️
Ferrari is changing the powertrain.
Porsche is protecting the architecture.
One is preserving performance.
The other is preserving character. 🚗
An EV can replicate acceleration.
Replicating weight distribution is harder.
Replicating decades of driving feel is hardest.
If Porsche built an electric 911 tomorrow,
Would it still be a 911—or just another fast
EV wearing an iconic badge?🤔
